What is a floating frame?

Floating frames create the illusion that a canvas print is suspended in the centre of a slightly larger frame, with a small, consistent gap visible on all sides.

This provides a contemporary, gallery-style look by showcasing the entire artwork without obscuring any edges. They're like an open-faced box, with the canvas print mounted to the back of the frame's inner ledge.
